Careers Overview

Insight CEO, Dr Mark Griffin, has had a long interest in the student and graduate experience ever since he first started as a university student in 1991. Insight is based in the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct that includes Griffith University, the largest public and private hospitals of the Gold Coast (Gold Coast University and Gold Coast Private Hospitals), and the Lumina industry park (when the industry park is fully open there will be an anticipated 12,000 staff in the industry park alone). Mark is also a student at Griffith (doing his seventh university degree, a Master of Education). Insight has a keen interest in growing and supporting the Precinct and broader communities.

A key activity that we pursue for these purposes has been the establishment and running of three Griffith student clubs:

  • Fans of Music, Art and Drama – that assists members to attend events in key locations (such as HOTA) at a reduced (group) discount, and in promoting paid and unpaid employment in the film and live event industries.

  • Toastmasters – a local club that is part of the international Toastmasters community dedicated to training ourselves in the areas of leadership and public speaking.

  • Griffith Society for Data Science – a club for data science students wanting to launch their careers (both students studying data science and students in other disciplines interested in exploring what data science means for their discipline).

Through these student clubs Insight provide training and helps members engage with local industry. Membership of these clubs is open to Griffith students and members of the wider community.

Our staff are members of the Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA). Insight is a member of Experience Gold Coast and the Queensland Tourism Industry Council.
